About us

As part of the Institute for Molecular Bioscience (IMB, University of Queensland) we maintain and distribute human and murine versions of proteincoding focused genome-wide GIPZ shRNAmir libraries to licensed researchers within the IMB and provide enabling automation equipment and expertise for High Content Screening. With a focus on high content imaging in cell and developmental biology, we aim to assist researchers in the development and portation of assays from the bench to automation, through to the provision of screening services. Our philosophy is to provide modular and freely programmable equipment that is not limited to only a few applications, but rather broadly adaptable to our researchers’ requirements. In this attempt we aim to assist at the interface between manual and automated research and the associated levels of complexity, thereby promoting and extending the use of automation in life sciences.

LISA is a member of the RNAi Global inititative.

LISA is funded by the Institute for Molecular Bioscience (IMB) and by the Australian Phenomics Network (APN). As the APN RNAi program’s Queensland node, LISA offers gene knockdown for mouse or human cells using genome-wide protein-coding and custom-made boutique collections of short hairpin RNAi to Australian researchers at reduced costs.
